FAULKNER COUNTY, AR – A driver died after his vehicle was involved in a rollover crash in Faulkner County on Saturday afternoon, Arkansas State Police said.
According to The Daily Citizen, 48-year-old David F. Vanderslice was driving a Chevy Cruze on Arkansas Highway 107 in the Enola area shortly before 4 p.m. when he went off the right side of the roadway. Troopers said the vehicle overturned, crashed into a fence and ended up on its roof.
Vanderslice, a Mount Vernon resident, sustained fatal injuries in the wreck It happened on a wet roadway, police said.
It was one of two fatal accidents that occurred in Arkansas on New Year’s Day. At least 648 people died as a result of crashes on roads in the state in 2021, state police said.
