FAYETTEVILLE, AR – A pedestrian was injured in a collision with a vehicle in Fayetteville Monday evening, KFSM reports.
Police responded to the scene in the area of 3400 East Huntsville Road after the incident occurred at about 5:41 p.m. Investigators said the victim was a 55-year-old woman who was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Her name was not released.
The vehicle was driven by a 23-year-old who was not injured. The driver said they did not see the woman because the road was dark at the time.
Huntsville Road was closed in the area of the crash for the police investigation. Traffic was rerouted through Dead Horse Mountain Road to Goff Farm Road.
